Dedicated to our brother Tab Crabtree who left us too soon...

You Are A Part Of My Life, My Brother

You are a part of my life, my brother.

Through years and miles we’ve laughed,

and thrown our machines into the wind,

our only thoughts dwelling on the ride,

and the destination, and the party waiting.

You are a part of my life, my brother.

Cleaning and polishing chrome and paint,

ending up with the dirt and grease on us,

happily talking and joking and playing tricks,

and living as if all the good times are forever.

You are a part of my life, my brother.

I have shared those grand times with you,

and I have laughed and breathed the rare air,

only given to those of us who reach this height,

and know a sense of freedom denied to most.

We’ll continue our life’s ride my brother.

Together, even though life’s miles grow shorter,

and I’ll share with you our losses and grief,

and I’ll shelter some of your hurts in my heart as well,

because, You are a part of my life, my brother.

To our “Brothers of the Road”, who have ridden their last ride, we ride with you, and for you, you will always be at our sides. We would ask that you watch over us, protect us and guide us through the miles. You are with us on every curve and on every straight road we see you smile. Together we have hoisted a toast, to remind us of the fallen. We turn the throttle and hit the gears, to help us keep your spirit new. Many miles we ride, many places we go, we push our bikes to the limit. We know our brothers, given a second chance, would mount up in a minute. They were fathers, dads, sons and brothers, none of who chose to fall, but without fear they answered the good Lord's call. “Brothers of the Road”, who have ridden their last ride, we don't pine for you or feel sorry for you, but we remember you with pride. So when the time does come for us, to turn one last corner or two, we your faithful “Brothers of the Road”, will fall in formation with you.
